Steve Juergens
1964-2016
Steve Juergens was born in Vermont but grew up in Bloomington, Indiana. He attended Northwestern University and, upon graduation, worked as a financial counselor for students. He was an active part of the Chicago theatre scene from the mid 1980s through the mid 1990s, appearing in many shows at the Next Theatre including The Enormous Room and Coriolanus, and in 1996 was a part of A Red Orchid's acclaimed production of The Caine Mutiny Court Martial. Steve moved to New York in 2000, working most often with the Hartford Stage Company in Connecticut. His last show was an Off-Broadway production of Waiting for Lefty in 2011. He died in August of this year after a long illness. He is survived by his brother Paul Juergens and his stepmother Bonnie Brownlee. |
