Neal Miller was raised in Chicago, Ill. In 1952, his high school basketball team won the Chicago City Championship, which led to a life long dedication to playing followed by coaching senior basketball around the world. His passion for writing, producing, and directing films created 6 films for PBS, several features, and other shorts. He was an avid supporter of the Chicago theater community. Neal gave generously to this Chicago Theater Memorial Bike Ride from its inception. He was also an environmental activist.
Neal is survived by his wife, Nancy, daughters, Christie, Heather and Lindsey, and 4 grandchildren.
