Joel Lambie
June 25, 1979 – August 31, 2014
Joel was raised in a very theatrical family in Paso Robles, CA. After receiving his theatrical education at The Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts, he worked as a prop master and instructor at SRT of Santa Rosa, CA, where he worked on such productions as “Mame,” “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” and “The Wedding Singer.” His most recent work before arriving in Chicago was with PCPA Theaterfest, where he worked on “Les Miserables,” “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” and “The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.” Since Joel arrived to the Chicago theatre scene in November 2009, he has been the Prop Designer for TUTA’s “The Wedding” at the Chopin Theatre, he was Drury Lane Oakbrook’s Assistant Props Designer for “Ragtime,” he has designed the last two shows for About Face Theatre, and he was the Prop Master for Lookingglass Theatre Company's production of “Hephaestus” at the Goodman. Joel is survived by his mother and step-father, Connie and Obbie Atkinson; his father, John Lambie; his sister and her husband, Sarah and Jack Greenman; his step-siblings, Jennifer, Jake and Amanda; his nieces and nephews, Walker, Charlie, Trace, Contessa, Isis, Lucca and Daisy; and his girlfriend Meg Grgurich. |
