Diana Lynn Sacerio, 56, of Chicago Illinois peacefully passed away surrounded by family on June 16th, 2018 after a 24-year battle with cancer. In the 1990s, Diana tended bar at the L&L Tavern and became a beloved member of the Chicago theater family. She often documented the 90s theater scene by taking photos of the artists who took up a barstool after performances. At a time when there were still payphones & no cell phone cameras, Diana was the only one to remember to chronicle the times. She is remembered fondly for her big heart by all those that knew her. She loved entertaining and making those around her feel comfortable and happy. In the face of battle with cancer, her strength and determination to survive is an inspiration to us all. Her wealth of selflessness and generosity of love will be truly missed by everyone. She was preceded in death by her mother Bernice, father Richard, sister Bonnie and brother David. She is survived by her husband Jose, puppy Ginger, son Tony, daughter Sandra, grandchildren Alison, Kyle, Sophia and Glen and sisters Sharon, Beth, and Michelle. Diana was a genuine friend to all who was loved by so many. Her beautiful smile, kindhearted personality and compassionate heart made everyone in her life feel special. |
