Walter Leo Brody, 81, of Chicago, Illinois, formerly of Yorktown Heights, New York, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025.
Walter was a respected Chicago stage actor who performed with numerous storefront and regional theater companies across the Chicago area, including Artistic Home, Strawdog, Steep, Remy Bumppo, Northlight, Seanachai, Stage Left, City Lit Theater, and the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, among others. He is survived by his wife, casting director Jane Drake Brody, to whom he was married for 58 years; and siblings Ernest Brody, Stephanie Brody, and Anne Schwartz (the late Marc Schwartz). |
