Richard Alpert passed away on April 19th in New York succumbing to the effects of Covid-19.
Alpert was a working actor for 30 years, and a teacher and confidante to many young acting students at the Chicago Actors Studio for 10 years. “I absolutely love teaching acting. As a working actor, I know that I need to practice what I preach to my students about the time and effort needed to succeed. Teaching the class, demonstrating a certain technique is something I love since I am both educating and entertaining. If I could sum up the ingredients to be a successful actor, it would be: confidence, preparation and perseverance.” |
