Ride with us on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Foster Beach! The annual Chicago Theater Bike Ride is not a race or a competition. It is a gentle 10-mile ride along the Chicago lakefront from Foster Avenue Beach to North Avenue Beach and back. Riders may ride at their own pace and follow signs along the course, or join a group led by a course marshal. Water and snacks are provided at Foster Avenue Beach. A short memorial gathering takes place before the ride, and a picnic celebrating the Chicago theater community follows.
If you are not interested in riding, that’s okay too! All are welcome to gather and celebrate our Chicago theater community at Foster Avenue Beach - during the opening ceremony, while the ride is going on, and at the picnic that follows the ride.
We kindly ask all participants--riders and non-riders alike--to register so we can plan for food and seating!
Suggested registration donation is $25 (all funds raised support emergency relief to Chicago theater artists in crisis). We hope you'll join us! Love Hard!
